PORCUPINE

Hi all,

I have decided to "revive" this blog. I will post some of my views on certain values which i think will benefit all of you aspiring sports men and women.

Firstly, have any of you regardless if you are from the football, basketball or girls club ever wonder why is our mascot a PORCUPINE? Let me explain to you now...

The porcupine is a tiny animal. Much like a skunk or a smaller version of a fox. It is not considered a big or prominent animal. However, when the porcupine's life is in danger of being harmed by the bigger animals, lions, tigers etc.. The porcupine is able to "spike out" and makes itself be a dangerous animal to go near.
With it's spikes, the porcupine protects itself from dangers and survives in the wild.

Its the same attitude and character we want to see from our players. All of our players are not "fantastic" players. Not extremely talented, might not even be from great schools or in the good streams. BUT, with self belief, we are able to protect ourselves. Able to withstand the dangers of the living in this "urban jungle".

We want all of you to enjoy your youth years, enjoy the friendship in the Sports club and with
the advice and guidance from the coaches, can learn to "spike out" in your respective lives.
So, every time u put on the jersey, remember the spirit of the porcupine. Fight for yourself and the team.

Coach Andy
